Singular proposition - Street - Music - Circus
Astronomica is grand street show. Circus, live music, dance, video and light projections combined to create a visual story that pays tribute to the astronomer Assumpció Català, the first woman of Spain doctorate in astronomy.
In a cloudy, dense and stuffy city, where inhabitants never look at the sky, lives Sunsi.
Sunsi is curious; She has that light, that spark, that restlessness typical of scientists, artists and the curious. One day, Assumpció, tired of having her head facing the ground, opens the window and instead of looking at the street, she looks up. "I want a clear sky."
Assumpció gets moving, takes her bike and leaves the city. Nothing is stoping her. Not even the coming storm.
The sky clears, and Sunsi is enchanted by a dance of stars that move above her head. What secret are the stars hiding ? Why do stars give light? What are stars? It's at this very moment that Sunsi decides to study stars.
Assumpció Català, dedicated her life to astronomy, a long and difficult path, become the first female astronomer on the peninsula, a doctorate of the University of Barcelona; always asking questions, questions and more questions, seeking the light of knowledge.
